TheTeam Leaderis responsible for leading a portion of the business; specifically a Team Leader is responsible for developing client relationships and effectively managing a team of people to successfully market, secure and deliver projects and/or services to a wide variety of clients within the companys current and expanding market sectors that meet or exceed the companys quality and financial objectives in a manner that supports the companys mission and core values. The Team Leader is also responsible for cultivating a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing in a manner that drives the business, builds teamwork and supports team members growth and development. The essential functions of this position include developing and managing client relationships, leading and managing the team in the successful delivery of services, in a manner that mirrors the mission, vision and core values of the company in order to meet the companys strategic objectives. Expected Abilities: Recruit, motivate, and lead a high-performance team; mentor team members to grow professionally and develop required skills, and provide opportunities for them to succeed in a manner that builds enthusiasm for the company, drives results and supports the companys mission and core values. Assign clear and concise responsibilities to direct reports, support them, and hold them accountable for meeting quality, financial and technical standards in the performance of their work. Possess sufficient knowledge about every project to evaluate the quality of the work, including the work of those who may be accountable for quality at the project level (i.e. Project Managers) Drive and monitor technical training through knowledge sharing, participation in and recommendation of available in-house technical training materials/programs or applicable external training opportunities to continuously improve the quality of service deliverables. Effectively build, strengthen and retain client relationships and provide exceptional customer service. Manage projects to a successful conclusion by meeting or exceeding financial targets, following policies and procedures that minimize risk, setting, monitoring and achieving project and/or team goals, and disseminating lessons learned. Monitor and maintain appropriate team staffing levels, hours, costs, overhead and expenses to achieve team goals/objectives. Monitor team billings to ensure they are timely and correct and that collections of amounts payable is timely and does not adversely impact the companys financial profitability. Review and approve fee proposals and contracts in collaboration with the companys business development leaders and risk management policies (i.e. Levels of Authority) to ensure the work can be performed to achieve the target profit level without undue risk to the company. Take the necessary steps to manage and assess financial performance and risk management on all projects from start to finish. Lead and drive the teams effort to identify new opportunities to build and expand the companys services and generate sales. Fifteen (15) plus years of well-rounded business or AEC related experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with at least five years of demonstrated focus on team management, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, and strategic planning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job.
