Title:Staff Accountant Credit/Collections Location:Minnetonka, MN Department:Finance Report To:Director, Finance and Accounting Our Company PeopleNet, a Trimble Company, is in business for the trucking fleet of tomorrow, providing mobility and software solutions that give fleet managers and driver s tools to streamline safety, efficiency and control. PeopleNet s network communications, mobility and analytics products are used by more than 2,000 truckload, LTL, private and oil and gas services fleets throughout North America. Position Overview This position within PeopleNet will be responsible for establishing and monitoring customer credit, dunning procedures, overall management of accounts receivable related accounting, and other various month-end related tasks. The success of this individual will be driven by the ability deliver consistent results in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities: Responsible for timely review and actions related to customer credit term and limits Responsible for managing company collection dunning activities Responsible for overall health of companies Accountants Receivable (Aging, DSO, Write-offs) Assist in company adherence to SOX compliance Prepare account reconciliations for assigned accounts Prepare and enter month-end journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as needed Other projects as assigned Manage company lease partner relationships Required Skills: Bachelor s degree or equivalent Accounting or Finance experience 1+ years relevant business experience Consistent application of defined procedures Can work both Independent and within a Team setting Demonstrated analytical skills with high attention to detail Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under time constraints Demonstrated proficiency with all MS Office applications Effective communication skills both verbal and written Ability to make level headed business decisions based upon facts at hand Preferred Skills: Experience with NetSuite software Experience with unique financial attributes of trucking industry Prior experience with AR, credit, and collection Trimble Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, gender, age, color, religion, national origin, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, or any other protected factor.
