Job Description:The purpose of the Scan Based Trading ("SBT") Inventory Analyst is to process, manage, review and analyze in-store inventory quantities as well as monitor inventory loss rates, in order to provide decision support to Sales, Operations, Finance and Leadership. The position will also provide month end reporting and reconciliation's related to SBT. The SBT Inventory Analyst is a data driven, detail oriented role whose responsibilities involve working with various people throughout the company and maintaining a working knowledge of our operations to help accurately report the division's financial performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process physical inventory count file, identify, analyze and report on discrepancies. Administer the DPI inventory count audit process including communication to relevant parties, determination of items and reconciliation to physical counts. Work with customer in providing and analyzing information and billings related to discontinued and transition of items to/from customer. Partner with Account Executives and Field Sales teams by analyzing inventory items, and assist them with resolving issues and differences. Run reports, format and compile information as needed to analyze SBT processes and inventory issues utilizing Oracle and Excel. Support divisional and corporate Finance teams with annual internal and external audit requirements as needed. Assist with additional ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Provide assistance to Finance, Accounting, and Sales teams with inventory related questions or issues. Maintain clean work environment, may include picking up trash or cleaning spills. May perform other duties as needed in order to assist with DPI operations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or Business preferred. Inventory experience highly preferred with retail or grocery store environment a plus. The employee must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point). The employee must be proficient in written and verbal communication in English and have sufficient math skills to perform analysis on sales and product data. Ability to think both analytically and creatively is critical, as well as possessing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge and proficient use of specific software programs, such as Oracle, may be required in certain areas. Work Environment: The work environment is indoors. The floor surfaces are carpeted in office areas and conference rooms with vinyl floor covering typical in hallways, break rooms and computer rooms. Work Hours: The work schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Start times vary. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be required to work overtime, holidays or weekends. Physical and Mental Demands: Sedentary. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Knows and follows proper safety protocols. Able to perform mathematic functions and analyses and use writing skills to accomplish designated Analyst functions.
