Job Purpose:Perform varied duties in accordance with the Business Office procedures.Key Responsibilities:Ensure all internal and external phone calls (patients, staff, insurance companies, etc.) are handled in a professional manner, providing good customer service and following the MNGI golden rule philosophy of treating everyone with respect and dignity.Participate in the posting of patient and insurance payments, adjustments and refunds as well as having an understanding of insurance remits/EOB.Demonstrates an understanding of EPM/EHR as it relates to insurance, demographics, ROI information, and other specific screens related to the functions of daily Business Office activities.Responsible for understanding the patient flow from the time of the scheduling of an appointment, front desk process, coding, billing, application of payment and collections.Commitment to work with patients, insurance companies, collection agencies or co-workers to address or resolve any issues or concerns.Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneQualification Requirements:In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and regular attendance is required.
