Claim Rep Sr, Bodily Injury

We are expanding our presence in Florida as we continue our growth in the US. We are looking for career-minded individuals with proven Bodily Injury Claim experience at this time.

The qualified candidate will be able to handle a pending of Automobile Casualty losses which includes minor to high severity Bodily Injury, uninsured and underinsured motorists claims. The individual will be responsible for screening losses and determining coverage exposures. The position requires the ability to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate all aspects of automobile claims. To include all facets of the litigation process and the appropriate directions to outside vendors consisting of independent adjusters retained experts and attorneys. This individual requires supervision in the execution of their various duties. They will strive to work more independently as their experience level increases.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
  • Experience: 2 - 4 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 4 - 6 years.
  • Knowledge: General knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform work requiring analytical business skills.
  • Decision Making: Learns to make decisions and recommendations for varied situations, applying judgment to interpret related information, policies, and procedures. Decisions generally impact specific tasks.
  • Supervision Received: Works independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for overall adequacy in performing tasks.
  • Leadership: Works as an individual contributor. Learns the job.
  • Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Applies knowledge to help solve problems of relatively limited scope and complexity which require independent thinking.
  • Client Contacts: Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently. Contacts are primarily at or below upper management levels. Represents organization on specific projects. Communication may involve persuasion, and negotiation.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Prior claims adjusting experience is required. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and liability is desired. 
  • Insurance Industry education is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to function in a team environment. 
  • Strong oral, written communication skills and a good command of the English language.
  • Understand and comply with all customer service standards.
  • Knowledge of basic computer systems.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality is a must.
