Payment Solutions Settlement Specialist The Payment Solutions team is made up of enthusiastic, self-driven, customer focused team members. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to world class customer service to join our Payment Solutions Team as a Settlement Specialist. The Settlement Specialist will be results-orientated, prioritizing their day to maximize effectiveness. They will instinctively set personal and professional goals and meet them. They will be able to multi-task and change their focus depending on the business needs and align their interests with those of the company so that we succeed as a team. Additional responsibilities will come often and sometimes without notice, so prioritizing your day to maximize your effectiveness will be crucial to your success. Responsibilities: Negotiate with borrowers and 3rd parties to maximize recovery amount on delinquent and charged off debt Determine the reason for delinquency and best course of action to assist our Borrowers. Respond to inquiries from both borrowers and third parties through written communication channels Document all collection efforts for each assigned account in accordance with established procedures and compliance policies. Communicate professionally and regularly with leadership and peers on status of accounts, escalations in accordance with established standards. Ensure all accounts in assigned lists are managed accurately and timely Maintain and catalog inventory of third party authorizations Key skill areas: Experience negotiating in a high volume financial services environment. Bachelor's degree and 2+ years collections, consumer lending, or sales experience. Legal collections experience a plus. Knowledge and experience in collections processes, procedures including state and Federal regulations and best practices Applicants must possess strong systems skills, analytical skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, and effective oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated Detail oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred (required - Word and Excel) Zendesk experience Strong team player with a high level of professionalism and initiative #LI-MD1
