Job DescriptionWE ARE HIRING! NVP Warranty has an immediate opening in our claims department for a mechanical claims adjuster. NVP WARRANTY is looking for automotive Service Advisors, Parts Advisors or Automotive Technicians to be mechanical claims adjusters. You will be responsible for verifying claim term and coverage, determining the validity of the claim and choosing the appropriate repair option and price point. WHAT YOU WILL DO Adjudicate and authorize claims within your dollar limit authority Read, understand and apply contract language Answer inbound calls from repair centers and/or contract holders Answer phone inquiries and provide information and explanations on the various levels of contract coverage and terms Manage Work-Flow Process and complete all requests and documents according to established procedures Be a Team Member Work effectively in a friendly team environment WHAT IS REQUIRED Completion of a recognized automotive vocational training program preferred; High School graduate or GED is Required, current ASE certifications are a plus 2+ years working in mechanical repair at a dealership or independent shop, understanding of general automotive repair procedures and processes, and diagnosing auto mechanical failures, knowledge of parts and repair costs for vehicles. Strong organizational and customer service skills with ability to problem solve and multi task must be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively with contract holders, agents, dealers, internal staff/upper management and customers, call center experience preferred. Ability to make decisions based on the contract language for each coverage option that is in force. Must be able to use good judgment and general repair best practices for claim resolution.
