Mortgage Insurance Claims SupervisorPosition OverviewThe MI Claims Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed for all mortgage insurance claims activity and processing. The Claims Supervisor will ensure all claims related activities are processed timely and in accordance with agency and insurer guidelines.Working RelationshipsThe Mortgage Insurance Claims Supervisor will report to the AVP, Post Sale Operations.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day Claims related activities and personnel.Review and deliver all exception and performance reports to ensure timelines and processes are being followed.Review all possible curtailments prior to the filing of an insurance claim, and work with the appropriate business leaders to attempt to mitigate any claim curtailments.Appeal curtailments with insurance carriers when deemed appropriate.Manage all claim data repositories, such as Share Point, and ensure proper reporting is available for all claims related activity.Ensure property quality assurance is being conducted prior to the submission of a claim.Update all stacking orders, proceeds worksheets and appropriate checklists as needed to ensure compliance with insurer requirements.Oversee all FHA re-conveyance transactions and work with other servicing departments to ensure properties are re-acquisitioned as efficiently as possible.Work diligently with mortgage insurers, agencies and their vendors to ensure claims are processed in accordance with the insurer s requirements.Update and modify procedures as insurer guidelines are modified.Ensure all escalated items are delivered to the appropriate department leaders, vendors or attorney/vendor oversight stakeholders.Ensure all procedures are being maintained as processes are being modified/developed.Manage internal key controls to ensure risk is mitigated throughout the claims process.Identify new processes to implement and create efficiencies within the Claims Department.Maintain all training documents and calendars, and ensure all new associates fulfill the appropriate training requirements.Ensure all associates are trained on any new procedures and policies implemented within the department.Oversee any staffing augmentation training, performance monitoring and workflows.Ensure all service level agreements and key performance metrics are being met for the claims department.Ensure the RoundPoint Communication Policy is being adhered to and manage the appropriate meetings with teams and individual associates as dictated within the policy.Ensure all investors/stakeholders are provided the appropriate information they need for the Claims reporting requirements. This includes weekly and monthly investor reporting, RPMS Financial / Investor Services Reporting and KPI reporting.Address all escalations with investors as needed.Manage all data/report service requests as required to provide the appropriate reporting tools to manage the processes efficiently.Minimum RequirementsBachelor s Degree (B.A)A minimum of 3 years of related experience in claims, loss mitigation, foreclosure, risk management or a similar servicing related function.Strong technical skills with various computer programs including the Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to multi-task and prioritize to control/direct the in-house, day-to-day operations of the claims department, manage all claims-related litigation to ensure interests are properly protected, and complete global/strategic projects and initiatives as assigned.Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to manage and lead a team of claims professionals to ensure they are meeting all goals.Prior management experience preferred.*RP
