This role will leverage advanced predictive modeling techniques to identify customer behaviors for treatment in the Consumer marketing organization. The right candidate will have direct experience in building Churn, Upsell, Cross-Sell, and Valuation models across massive datasets. This is a modeling role requiring an expert in statistics, data mining, and predictive modeling. The best candidate will have demonstrated real-world experience building survival curves and propensity models for lifecycle events that determine customer-level expected life, with experience applying financial metrics to determine customer value. The role goes beyond technical to partner with business clients to fulfill business case requests, developing scenarios to illustrate the expected impact of key drivers like offers, pricing, and treatments on the value of the customer. As such, knowledge of the business, financial acumen, and the ability to convey complex information will be critical. Initiatives you will work on include: Advanced modeling to build customer-level propensities for acquisition, cross-sell, up-sell, and full-life survival Evolution of predictive models to predict lifecycle events like upgrades, contacts, credits, and churn Data mining/sourcing to be self-sufficient in the production of valuation and the analysis of business cases and ad hoc requests Financial business knowledge to apply costs per customer in the calculation of lifetime value Partnership with Marketing, Pricing, Finance, and Credit teams to create action plans to develop business cases Preparation of summary readouts on findings to socialize with partner organizations A background like this will be key: 8+ years of direct experience in advanced modeling, big data environments, relational database structures, and statistics Teradata, Aster, and Hadoop experience required Advanced experience in statistical analysis and modeling, using SAS, SQL, R, Excel, Python Direct experience with Machine Learning techniques (beyond logistic regression to Neural Networks, SVM, K-NN, etc.) Ability to communicate complex information Passion for refining general problem statements into specific and meaningful hypotheses, through execution Education: Masters Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a directly related field preferred AT&T is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer, and we are committed to hiring a diverse and talented workforce.??
