Primary Purpose:Supports the VP, Director of Finance to ensure effective financial reporting for the bank.Job Duties:Responsible for the preparation of various internal and external reports in conjunction with other team members (e.g. ALCO statistic reports, quarterly Call Report and Federal Reserve Reports, FR2900, FDIC deposit reports, Depositors Insurance Fund reports, etc.).Assists with the preparation of monthly closing entries within general ledger system for the bank and its subsidiaries. Helps review actual to budget variances, as well as month to month variances and performs research as required.Assists with the timely and accurate flow of management and financial information, and prepares analyses of data trends, financial forecasts, etc. as well as communicating this information effectively verbally or in writing.Assists with the annual GL work with Core Provider ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed, maintained and in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.Provides backup to the Bank s daily cash position with the Accounting Manager and works with manager when overnight investment and borrowing decisions need to be made.Provides backup for review of the bank s correspondent bank accounts and Federal Reserve balances to maximize the bank s short term investments. Assists with the testing of lines of credit in conjunction with the bank s Liquidity PolicyServes as back up to liaison for investment securities as well as bids on municipal securitiesAssists with the coordination of the external audit and preparation of the year-end audited financial statements.Responsible for the preparation and review of the bank s balance sheet reconciliations. Works well with other departments to assist in the resolution of appropriate items.Ensures compliance with the Bank s policies and procedures.Specialized Knowledge, Skills&Abilities:Must possess advanced computer skills, including intermediate Excel and Word knowledge. Familiarity with report writing software is a plus.Must be organized with a strong attention to details, analytical and highly motivated. Have the ability to work independently or as a team player. Possess effective time management and prioritization skills.Must possess excellent communications skills with all levels of employees both written and verbal.Strong understanding of basic accounting principles required.Minimum Education, Training&Work Experience:Bachelor s degree in related field required.Minimum of three to five years banking related financial reporting experience required.Minimum of one year Call Report and Federal Reserve reporting experience required.This position is not subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements.
