ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR -- Financial Issues and EducationWashington, DCAbout the positionThe Account Supervisor position will manage client campaigns focused around financial issues and education. The position requires proven expertise, knowledge and understanding of the relevant stakeholder and media mindsets combined with ability to reach all constituencies with messages and materials that impact awareness, attitudes and action. The work is fast-paced, the team is located in multiple offices and the clients require an account lead who is flexible and adept at managing multiple workstreams while also anticipating emerging needs.What you will be doingOverseeing integrated public relations efforts, including integrating media relations with digital and paid media, to educate and inspire action in key audiencesServing as a day-to-day strategist and client lead for a financial services association client focused on educating key media and consumers about a class of retirement-focused financial productsServing as a key workstream lead for a financial regulator on a consumer education campaign, leading a team working across offices and practice groupsDriving overall account, timeline and budget managementServing as a strategist or point person for outreach to financial services mediaOverseeing and developing high-quality client deliverables, potentially including blog articles, fact sheets, bylined articles, pitch letters, Q&As, social media content, video scripts, podcast scripts, etc.Supporting relevant new business effortsThe experience that will contribute to your successAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and with ease, so you must be organized and detail-orientedComfort with managing teams and budgetsConfidence to share and defend opinions with the clientExpertise within financial services; knowledge of investments, commodities, retirement, financial planning, fraud prevention, financial regulations, etc.Hands-on experience with financial education mediaHands-on work with federal government clients preferredPassion to grow and coach junior team members and direct reportsStrong writing and editing skills are mandatory and non-negotiable5+ total years of PR/communications experience; PR agency experience is strongly preferredAre You Ready?If this description appeals to you let s start a conversation.
