We currently have an opening for an experienced property claims adjuster who will be responsible for overseeing the approved contractors who provide repair services to our customers.
Responsibilities of a Property Claims Vendor Specialist:
- Assure adequate contractor coverage for all of our customer locations.
- Assure compliance with W9’s, proper insurance and signed contracts from all vendors.
- Conduct a specified number of re-inspection desk reviews in order to target leakage areas within estimates submitted as well as timely compliance of reporting as outlined in our contracts.
- Conduct a specified number of re-inspections to assure proper construction practices are being utilized by our approved contractors, and assure satisfaction by the customer/homeowner of the repairs performed.
- Conduct spot audits of independent adjuster reports to assure compliance with standards outlined.
- Handle a specified pending of cases as assigned by the property management team, and assist with CAT volume as needed.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Claims Manager showing results of the vendor program.
- Special projects as assigned.
Hiring Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years field property adjusting experience with homeowners’ claims.
- Experience must include handling large/complex losses of $100K and above.
- Strong computer skills including experience using estimating programs such as Exactimate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to write and review building damage estimates using computer estimating applications.
- College degree and/or insurance coursework or designation strongly preferred.
- Must be able to visit loss sites to complete investigations when necessary.
