Acuity is seeking an experienced multi-line Field Claims Representative to resolve Personal and Commercial claims with empathy, passion, and a sense of urgency. Acuity looks to our Field Claim Representatives to handle an entire claim from the investigation of loss, determination of coverages and liability, and completing settlement, denial, or litigation. The Field Claims Representative will work out of their home in the Kansas City, Missouri operating territory.
Responsibilities:
Investigates, records facts, preserves evidence, determines coverage, evaluates liability, exposure, subrogation potential and arranges for the disposition of claims through settlement or denial, including litigation. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in the field and in person with a high level of frequency.
Qualifications:
College degree or equivalent
Minimum 5 yrs of Multi line claim adjusting, preferably in the field
Knowledgeable in all matters relating to property and casualty claims practices, policies and procedures
Good written and verbal communication skills
Organizational and time management skills
Basic understanding of state statutes and case laws
Customer service oriented
Efficient use of laptop and associated software, including e-mail and word processing
Work independently
