CFO&Treasurer

Primary Purpose:Plans, organizes and directs the financial management activities of the bank. Serves as a member of Senior Management and participates in formulating and executing bank strategies, policies and procedures.Manages the Finance and Accounting team and carries out managerial responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching employees, appraising performance, recommending salary increases; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Essential Duties:Acts as Chief Financial Officer and strategic business partner to each business line leader. Assess and evaluate financial performance in line with long term goals, budgets and forecast. Plans, organizes and oversees asset/liability management, ensuring desired asset growth objectives and maintenance of desired interest rate spreads. Chairs Asset/Liability committee and reviews the bank s financial performance on an ongoing basis. Oversees and monitors bank s tax planning effort to ensure efficiency, cost effectiveness, and compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations. Develops policy and oversees management of bank investments. Assesses economic developments and formulates investment strategies to provide for maximum safety and return on investments. Participates in developing bank s strategic plan, translates objectives into operational activities, and monitors progress. Ensures efficiency of bank-wide operating systems, methods and facilities, and monitoring performance to ensure goals and objectives are met. Establishes and implements bank-wide operating policies. Reviews and ensures application of appropriate internal financial controls. Participates in establishing interest rate structure for loans and deposits through analysis of bank goals, economic conditions and competitive forces. Presents financial reports and financial policy recommendations to Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Oversees preparation of related internal and external reports for review by Board of Directors. Monitors and evaluates insurance coverage for cost effectiveness and adequacy of coverage. Participates at Board of Directors meetings, furnishing reports and communicating relevant information. Keeps abreast of trends and developments within the fields of finance, economy and corporate community and assesses the impact on the bank. Ensures adherence to state and federal laws, applicable regulations, and industry and community standards for all financial matters. Oversees preparation of the Annual Financial Statement Report. Presents financial report at annual meeting and other meetings as appropriate. Ensures effective communications relating to financial matters. Specialized Knowledge, Skills&Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, analyze data, supervise others and meet strict deadlines. Must possess strong numeric aptitudes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, read, write, walk, sit, stand, stoop, kneel or bend; reach with hands and arms; use office equipment such as computer, telephone, calculator, and fax machine. Minimum Education, Training&Work Experience: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred. Minimum of ten years bank financial management experience required. Previous experience with the management of a finance team required. This position is not subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements.
