Position Summary:
Performs all clerical functions related to the daily processing of claim files for assigned adjusters. Assist assigned adjusters in multiple clerical tasks in a timely manner.
Job Duties:
Answer incoming calls; input new claims directly into the claims data base.
-Process claim disbursements, reserves, openings and closings with correct coding.
-Proofread and file transactions sheets as accurate coding is essential for the accounting system.
-Type Form letters and other correspondence
-Process incoming and outgoing mail/email/faxes, and loss run requests.
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college preferred, or 1-2 years customer service experience
- Accurate keyboard skills, and knowledge of basic skills in successfully operating computer equipment and general software applications
- Skill in communicating effectively with others both orally and in writing
