General Description:

Conducts measurements and presents results, identifies and provides recommendations to ensure compliance with operational indicators, applicable regulations and internal policies and procedures of the assigned business unit, with a view to improve processes and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts measurements of established indicators in the assigned operational area to ensure compliance with procedures, service, regulations and the corresponding dates of processing.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement based mainly on the analysis and results obtained from measurements carried out.
  • Reports results on a regular basis to leadership with the purpose to identified areas of opportunity and necessary changes in processes. 
  • Maintains communication with the staff and supervisors to ensure compliance with indicators.
  • Creates standardized measurements and compares them with subsequent measurements to ensure the most efficient process going forward. 
  • Conducts meetings with department supervisors to discuss identified results, improvement opportunities and recommendations; as well as action plan for the solution and/or process improvements, as established by proper operational leader.
  • Provides monitoring and ensures that action plans are carried out as defined by supervisor and operational area leader.
  • Prepared reports and communicates finding and recommendations, as required by management.
  • Participates in projects and initiatives for continuous improvement, as assigned. 
  • Serves as a liaison between Quality and assigned department to ensure compliance with process development and review.

Education and / or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering and a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the insurance, banking or manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the assigned business unit, knowledge of the concepts and practices common in the industry
  • Extensive knowledge in the management of computer systems and management of the keyboard
  • Knowledge of database management, preparation of statistical reports, analysis and presentation of results through computer systems
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and establish priorities
  • Analytical ability, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and reach valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of quality, continuous improvement process and measurement systems preferable 

Licenses and / or Certifications:  

Six Sigma, CQE or CQPA preferred
