Claims Analyst - Commercial Lines

A reinsurer with worldwide operations currently offers an opportunity to join their company in a Treaty Claims Analyst position. The position is an integral part of the reinsurers focused initiative and requires not only a certain level of claim expertise, but the ability to deliver excellent customer service to stakeholders and clients both internal and external. 

About the Role:

·         You will have assigned accounts and process claims emanating from those accounts. They will communicate regularly with internal staff (i.e., claim experts, management, accounting, underwriters, etc.) and externally with brokers and clients. 

·         Review incoming documents to determine if they are associated with a new or existing claim.

·         Create or close claim records, process all financial transactions within stated authority.

What we seek:

·         An understanding of commercial property and casualty claims, either primary insurance or reinsurance claim handling.

·         Ability to independently handle lower value less complex reinsurance claims, and be able to recognize claim issues which require escalation to claim experts or management.
