Voluntary Benefits Enrollment Specialist - What You Need To Know
A newly created role, you will be employed by a Managing General Underwriter, headquartered in the Southeast, to work as a dedicated rep for a large client headquartered in Georgia with offices throughout Atlanta and throughout the state.  This opportunity offers the ability to work at home remotely in Georgia.

The company has over 7,000 employees with 12 corporations under one umbrella which makes managing worksite insurance programs challenging for Human Resources.  Your presence is a welcome relief to keep a constant, watchful eye on products and services, enrollment options and client service support.  You are the ongoing point of contact for administrative issues throughout the year.  You will spearhead the yearly open enrollments and seasonal enrollers on-site at the client's locations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

  • Enrollment Management: Act as a benefits counselor; enroll newly eligible associates
  • Policy Changes: Location changes (out-of-state in particular), terminations, leave of absences
  • Communication: Billing, deductions, direct pay, offer conversion

Required Qualifications Include:

  • Associates degree
  • Knowledge of core voluntary benefits insurance plans (life, short term disability, long term disability, critical illness) and aptitude to educate employees on purchasing options
  • Benefits administration, customer service and enrollment experience; able to spearhead the yearly open enrollment period
  • Valid Georgia Life and Health insurance license
  • Comfortable with travel in a three-hour radius of middle Georgia and eastern Tennessee

About the Organization: This company has a multi-faceted practice and is an organization founded on the belief that employers need solutions to managing benefits plans.  In doing so, the company is a Managing General Underwriter (MGU) and has created turnkey online enrollment and benefits administrative services.  They consult directly with employers and insurance brokers on group voluntary benefits plans, compliance and technology.
