JOB OVERVIEW

This position will provide claim adjudication, which includes investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of multiple lines of insurance to include auto, general liability, property and workers compensation claims of FCC Services’ clients. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in all of the lines of coverage listed above, but we are also willing to work with the right candidate to train and advance their knowledge in lines of coverage that they are less familiar with.  Our team is outstanding at what they do and you’d have an opportunity to work with and learn from the best!    

At FCC Services, our claims adjusters are responsible for investigating the facts of the claims, articulating and presenting merits of claims along with their requisite value (reserving), documenting appropriately, referencing appropriate laws, analyzing coverage and negotiating claims to their final resolution.

Communication is key! The desired claims professional in this position must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to our customers, outside parties, attorneys, and to the other members of the risk management & insurance department.  Claims may be litigated, complex, and for single or multiple lines of coverage.  This position may have oversight, control and supervision of attorney represented casualty losses.   These activities include the ability to prepare and present summaries of claims in claim reviews and/or to risk management and the insurance department team members.  Claims will be disposed of in accordance with prescribed authority, claim handling experience and company claim practices.  This position will utilize our risk management & insurance claim databases, our technology platform and Microsoft Office.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree is preferred
  • Five (5) years of experience in a Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance with an insurance carrier or Third Party Administrator (TPA) with experience directly negotiating multi-line claims, including litigated and complex claims.
  • Experience in analyzing coverage, investigating facts, articulating merits of claims and their value, documenting and negotiating claims to their final resolution within authority.
  • Proven attention to detail to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  • Experience in working with claim management systems and Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Demonstrates strong written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex coverage and claim facts with clarity and in a way that can be understood by non-insurance professionals.
  • Meets deadlines under pressure and able to quickly adjust to changing work priorities
  • Proven customer focus, keeping the customer in mind at all times and communicating (verbal and written) effectively and timely to all levels.
  • Ability to develop and complete annual stewardship reports including presenting findings to clients including presentations at the C-Suite level.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, growth environment
  • Has a current Texas Property & Casualty Insurance license
