DE Underwriter

As an Ethos Lending Government Underwriter You will make incredible impact in our success. You ll be responsible for providing efficient, timely, consistent, accurate quality loan decisions on a daily basis. Underwrite loans that adhere to Ethos Underwriting Policy and Procedures as well as adhere to the investor guidelines, policies and procedures. Additionally, responsible to answer questions and assist with problem solving with underwriting staff, respond to both internal and external QC audit findings in a timely and proficient manner. Read on Essential Job Functions Learn internal technology platforms Complete thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company, investor and FHA/VA guidelines. Maintain a minimum productivity level of 3 - 4 new loans per day Review conditions within posted turn times Communicate loan decisions to appropriate parties both verbally and/or in writing Respond to post-closing, insuring and audit reviews Qualifications/Experience Must have a current LAPP/SAR Minimum of 1-3 years Government Underwriting experience Knowledge of Agency guidelines, documents and terminology, including automated underwriting systems Direct Endorsement status from HUD and/or SARs authority from VA You wake up wanting to learn more and be better than yesterday.
