Litigation Claims Manager
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manages the litigation process to ensure timely and cost effective claims resolution
- Assist VP in development of Best Practices
- The Litigation Manager will not have any claims pending this is purely managing the team and process
- Review more complex cases and settle or initiate further action within approved authority limits. Grant authority on claims reserves and payments.
- Recognize and pursue recovery opportunities in regard to subrogation and salvage.
- Responsible to provide consultation and participation in the development of claim strategies handled by both independent and staff adjusters.
- Maintain a high level of communication with leadership
Skills and Education:
- Bachelors degree required and a minimum of 10 years experience in-house claims adjusting/examining handling complex claims in a personal lines driven insurance environment to include small commercial property exposures.
- Four (4) or more years in a supervisory role with litigation experience in the state of Florida.
- Understanding of commercial general liability and homeowner liability claims coverage and processes including the litigation process and strategy outcomes;
