Posted On02/03/2017 Credit Administration Specialist I - Credit Administration Anchorage, AK, US Salary Range : Worker Category :Full Time Job Class Summary Description: Responsible for the collection, closure, charge off, reporting andmonitoring of negative share accounts. Responsibilities range from accuratedocumentation input and inquiry related functions for the Credit Administrationdepartment to direct contact with members and various vendors. Works within a team environment that isdedicated to providing exceptional service to all members, staff and CreditUnion personnel. Also will provide interim support for other operationalaspects and functions within the Credit Administration department. Deliversprompt accurate, courteous service to co-workers and members. Dutiesand Responsibilities: 1. Responsiblefor collection of negative and charged off share accounts. 2. Responsiblefor the daily closure and charge off of negative share accounts. 3. Electronicallyreports charge off share accounts to ChexSystems and outside collectionagencies for collection. 4. Maintainsmonthly reports for charge off accounts and performs monthly reconciliation ofaccounts to general ledgers. 5. Disbursesand prepares documentation required to close on loan rewrites. 6. Reviews,researches, and responds to electronic and written credit bureau disputes. 7. Crosstrain within the department for increased job knowledge and team building. 8. Buildsexcellent rapport with branches, departments, and membership. 9. Workswith employees and membership in a manner that affords professional courtesyand respect at all times. 10. Provideinterim support for other operational aspects and functions within thedepartment. 11. Educatesother departments and members as to Credit Union policy and procedures toassist with the collection and resolution of past due obligations. 12. RefersCredit Union products and services to financially assist membership. 13. Representsdepartment as initial point of contact for telephone inquiries, directing tothe appropriate area within the department or Credit Union 14. Assistsmanagement with preparing, processing and maintaining monthly reports 15. Performsother duties as assigned by Credit Administration management. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Training Requirements: Complete any required training by assigneddue date. Specific Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook software. Excellent dataentry and typing skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to establishmaintenance and integrate data to vendors and/or multiple software programs.Operational knowledge of office equipment to include faxes, scanners, printers,multi-line phone systems, copiers, etc. Ability to work in a fast paced officeenvironment. Ability to consistently demonstrate the following skill sets: professional customer service skills,positive and professional demeanor, ability to multi-task and meet rapidlychanging environment, problem solving, initiative, strong work ethic, excellentcommunication skills, ability to function with minimal supervision, excellentorganizational abilities, self-motivated, and able to meet constant deadlines. Experience: One year technicalexperience in field or related experience in a financial institution preferred. Physical Requirements: Office mobility required. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity toskillfully operate standard office equipment. Corrected vision and hearing innormal range. A telephone device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.Must be able to physically lift up to 35 pounds. May require use of handcart orother device for the transportation of materials.
