As a Senior Claims Specialist in Gaithersburg, MD you ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients lives. Enabling strives to deliver our key growth priorities, the role of our business functions teams, including Human Resources, Finance, Global Compliance, Legal and Corporate Affairs, becomes crucially important. The Senior Claims Specialist is responsible for assisting with processing, submission, follow-up of bid quotations. Performing analyses to validate rebate claims. Assisting with analysis of pricing strategies to support development of overall pricing/contracting policies. Able to understand and interpret contract language and regulations as it relates to contract setup and maintenance to ensure accurate calculation of customer reimbursements. Process, monitor, review, measure, track, validate, research, analyze and report on customer activity/utilization reported by contract customers, wholesalers, state and federal government, and others using chargebacks, rebates and sales data. The Senior Claims Specialist is responsible for working with internal/external customers on the receipt, analysis, impact, resolution and posting/reporting of all contractual payments across multiple customer segments including Health Plans, PBMs, Part D, GPOs, Wholesalers, and State and Federal Government as well as maintaining all related documentation for those payments. Meet and understand all compliance-related requirements such as completion of mandatory training, adherence to audit controls, and adherence to all AZ policies, SOPs, job aids, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. High level of attention to detail in order to successfully process and assume accountability for a portion of multi-billion dollars in annual customer payments. Required: Bachelor s Degree Experience analyzing financial data Collaborate with peers to manage priorities and coordinate efforts with a focus on providing excellent customer service Demonstrated high level of professionalism Ability to multitask and prioritize in order to meet strict deadlines while providing exceptional customer support Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong communication skills, both oral and written Strong organizational and time management skills Requires a high level of initiative, independence and teamwork Preferred: 2 years of experience working in Managed Markets or the healthcare industry Basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical contracting process Ability to utilize office software to work with spreadsheets, databases, and decision support and query tools, specifically MS Excel and MS Word Ability to manage daily workload as well as special assignments and projects Next Steps -- Apply today!
