A growing Pasadena Insurance Brokerage firm, affiliated with a bank, is staffing a Commercial Insurance Lines Account Manager.  Will assist Sales Executives and clients with service needs, and in making changes to existing accounts.

Specific service and marketing responsibilities are required in this position. The Commercial Lines Account Manager is required to perform essential functions according to the standard operating procedures developed by the agency.

Main Duties Include:

  • Providing technical support to Sales Executives; specifically in analyzing client’s Commercial Lines insurance requirements, coverage forms, and quotations.

  • Occasionally accompanies Sales Executive on prospect and client meetings as requested by Sales Executive.

  • Completes accord applications in coordination with Sales Executive; submits applications to eligible and appropriate Commercial Lines carriers& wholesalers; follows up with carriers & wholesalers to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.

  • Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, auto id cards, endorsements and other related items; verifies their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence.

  • Determines if direct or agency billing is appropriate and invoices accordingly.

  • Prepares summaries of insurance, statement of values, and proposals.

  • Processes renewals in coordination with the Sales Executives according to standardize agency procedures.

  • Reviews year end audits of policies; verifies accuracy and facilitates corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.

  • Reviews policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrate good written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

  • Should be detail oriented and excel in follow through.

  • Effectively work in a team environment, promoting a professional, courteous and supportive environment.

  • Demonstrate ability to follow standard operating procedures.

  • Demonstrate ability to process high volume transactions in a fast paced customer service environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required, a College Degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years customer service experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a California Property & Casualty License.
  • Agency Management System - AMS360 Experience is a plus.
