This position will primarily be responsible for investigating allegations received from the Business Integrity Office, Management, Human Resources and other sources. -The candidate has the potential to be exposed to all components of MRO and its management. -The ideal candidate must be proactive andable to communicate with all levels of management. The candidate must possess: 1) strong verbal and writing skills, 2) ability to maintain the highest levels of integrity, objectivity and confidentiality at all times, 3) ability to independently analyze facts and assess whether or not an allegation is substantiated, 4) ability to analyze complex issues and adapt quickly to different situations, 5) ability to coordinate and complete several investigations and/or projects at one time and 6) ability to travel at any time and without much notice. -The position may require domestic and international travel. -The successful candidate may also be required to assist on special projects and vendor/internal control audits, as time permits. -This position will report to Audit Coordinating Manager of Internal Audit. Responsibilities: Evaluating and developing a plan of action to investigate allegations appropriately. Interviewing employees, managers and/or vendors/contractors to obtain information related to an allegation. Researching documentation in accounting systems or other sources to support findings. Updating and advising audit management and client management of issues throughout the course of an investigation. Documenting all findings. Preparing Investigation and Management Reports. Communicating, organizing and presenting information to all levels of employees and management. Assisting on internal control and vendor audits as required. Requirements: Degree: Bachelors or higher is required Major Discipline:- Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or other business-related preferred Computer Proficiencies:-SAP knowledge preferred Years of Experience Required: minimum 5 years Certifications:-Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) a plus Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO) is an independent international exploration and production company.
