Insurance Portfolio Manager

We---re currently looking for qualified candidates to join our team. -- The Insurance General Account business is seeking a portfolio manager that has directly managed general account insurance portfolios at an asset management firm (additional experience at an insurance company is a plus) and has had direct contact with clients.---- This person will report directly to the Head of Insurance Portfolio Management. Responsibilities include: Working closely with the Insurance Strategy Team to complete asset allocation and portfolio analysis for existing and new portfolios for taxable, tax-exempt and foreign domiciled insurance companies, incorporating the views of the Fixed Income Policy Committee, and working closely with the various sector teams. Partnering closely with the sales, consultant relations and client service group, presenting to existing clients, prospects, and consultants, and presenting at industry conferences.-- Creating periodic industry thought pieces, and providing input, as needed, to RFP---s and various presentations and ad-hoc reports. Ideal candidates will possess: Bachelor---s degree and MBA. CFA is a plus. 10-15 years of insurance general account portfolio management experience of multi-sector fixed income portfolios. Additional experience at an insurance company is a plus Strong writing and presentation skills Strong client relationship management experience Intellectual persistence to tackle hard problems and develop insights from multiple angles Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills Ability to work well in a collaborative environment Solid verbal and written communication skills.
