Commercial Lines Assistant Underwriter - Salina, KS

Growing Property and Casualty Insurance organization is seeking a Commercial Assistant Underwriter for their Kansas operation.  Candidates will be responsible for endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and other general service functions.

Responsibilities:

• Be able to manage a steady volume of email requests
• Support the new business underwriter by assisting with agent inquiries on quotes / binders / endorsement requests
• Handle all incoming calls and direct them to appropriate departments
• Assist in developing guidelines and training on tasks to be moved.
• Make periodic trips to meet with agents.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience with Commercial Lines Property & Casualty business
• Knowledge of rating systems and underwriting concepts
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Good organizational skills
