Requisition Number 17-0016 Post Date 2/8/2017 Title Senior Examiner City Jericho State NY Description RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform reviews of commercial business loans and multifamily, and commercial real estate mortgages troubled debt restructures to identify existing and potential future problem loans at the earliest possible time and confirm the reliability of the loan review process. This will include targeted reviews against specific portfolios, industry, concentrations, classified and delinquent loans. Sample non-homogenous loans using risk-based selection criteria. Document credit review reports with information supporting risk rating decision and adequacy of the rating. Participate in the quarterly problem loan assessment process and report in preparation for quarterly Asset Committee Meeting. Analyze portfolio loss metrics. Support the monthly, quarterly and annual review of all departmental reports and schedules. Prepare and verify all classified asset schedules required for Financial Reporting. Assist in assessing the overall quality of the bank s commercial and business loan portfolios and the adequacy of loan underwriting and practices on an ongoing basis. Perform additional accountabilities as required. Ensure compliance with established loan policies and procedures and with laws and regulations. Collaborate with other departments to develop reports needed within the Asset Review Department and validate accuracy of same. Participate in or responsible for ad hoc Asset Review projects. RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: 3 - 4 years experience in analyzing and/or underwriting residential, consumer, C&I, and construction loans with strong emphasis in the review of commercial mortgage loans and assigning risk grades Prior regulatory experience preferred Bachelor's degree with a major in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred Knowledge of Federal regulations as they relate to lending Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer skills Strong ability to assess credit metrics of commercial real estate mortgage loans Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
