Position Description As a Credit and Collections Analyst you will be responsible for minimizing risk while maximizing collections and overall revenue for an assigned portfolio of accounts. You will have direct contact with our external customers and third party collection agency, as well as internal customers within various functional areas such as inside and outside sales, marketing, planning, logistics, and service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Timely collection of receivables, working to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and increase cash flow. Conduct regular account reconciliations. Generate weekly, monthly and on demand accounts receivable statements. Assist accounting with monthly cash flow forecasting. Research and resolve disputed items (deduction/debit memos) timely and accurately. Maintain collection notes in SAP. Evaluate, authorize and process stock balance requests. Backup coworkers when out of the office. Research and respond to customer inquiries both internal and external. Establish credit worthiness by performing (annual or periodic) credit reviews utilizing tools including internal pay history, analysis of customer financial statements, as well as third party vendor services. Establish credit lines following the approval matrix. Review daily pending orders and identify if orders can be released based on current account status. Manage and maintain credit files for assigned portfolio of accounts. Ad hoc analysis of portfolio as needed. Promote goodwill through professional credit management. Position Requirements Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years credit and collection experience. Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving acumen. Proficiency with SAP. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent people, interpersonal, and assertive skills required. Strong attention to detail. Positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong written and oral communication skills. Highly driven personality.
