Property & Casualty Insurance Sales Manager

General Summary: Under general supervision but followingestablished policies and procedures, is responsible for all aspects of AppleServices Corporation operations including: Insurance Agency. Duties includeSales Management, Individual Production, Marketing, Human ResourcesandTechnology. Responsibilities: Interviews, hires, schedules, assigns work to,trains, establishes performance expectations, counsels and recommends thediscipline and/or discharge of subordinate staff, while maintaining requiredpersonnel documentation. Developsuccession plan for the Insurance Agency. Responsible for selling and servicing propertyand casualty insurance products to both members and non-members. Responsible for the preparation and submissionof Insurance Agency strategic plan and business plan to VP, Apple FinancialServices. Prepares statistical reports Accountable for operations and financialperformance goals of the Insurance programs and individual producers. Accountable for achieving individualperformance goals. Integrate Apple Financial Services InsuranceAgency with Apple Federal Credit Union through advertising, referral programs,product and service linkage and training programs. Arrange for Insurance Advisors to work inApple FCU branches. Conducts sales coaching and training as neededto motivate sales staff to achieve overall goals of the Insurance Agency. Maintain and develop vendor relationships forall Apple Financial Service Insurance Agency. Develop and maintain strongknowledge of AMS360 and Zywave. Reconcile agency reports on a monthly basis. Maintain required individual insurancelicenses, including continuing education requirements. Ensures proper licensingand training is held by staff. Performs duties and responsibilities inaccordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Inspire Promoters,Challenge Yourself and Own It. Remains cognizant of and adheres to creditunion policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank SecrecyAct. Perform other related Management and/orFinancial duties as assigned by VP, Apple Financial Services. Qualifications-all required unless otherwisenoted: Bachelor s degree in Businesspreferred. Minimum three years relevantexperience in Property & Casualty sales. Previous P&C managementpreferred, but not necessary. 1-2 years of supervisory experiencerequired. Technical expertise in the areas ofProperty & Casualty Insurance. Demonstrated abilities in memberrelations, communications, public speaking, and supervision. Must have Virginia Property andCasualty license. Complete understanding of rules,regulations and laws impacting the Property & Casualty Agency. Ability to function in a financialinstitution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment includingbut not limited to: PC, fax, copier,telephone, etc. Travel required. Hours: TBD
