Title: Credit Administrator Reports To: Sr. Vice President Chief Lending OfficerFLSA Status: ExemptPosition Primary Purpose:responsible for the administration and management of the Commercial loan process including submission of credit underwriting memo s, loan risk ratings, documentation, closing, file maintenance and data input. Works specifically on complex loans for commercial real estate, lines of credit and term loans. Manages the entire credit process, including, underwriters and processors. Essential Functions Analyze credit submissions for credit worthiness and submission to loan committee for loans outside of individual credit authority. Manages and monitors loans on an ongoing, day-to-day, and transactional basis working in close partnership with the Senior Business Officer. Acts as the primary liaison with attorneys, inspectors and title company representatives, during all phases of financing. Ensures all terms of the loan as approved are incorporated in the loan documents. Ensures all closing conditions are met. Responsible for monitoring loan and financial ticklers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of collection and review of statements and other documentation. Responsible for risk ratings of the commercial loan portfolio. Responsible for management, board and examiner reviewed loan performance reporting. Administers the real estate portfolio in accordance with credit policy requirements for risk management. Analyzes title insurance commitment reports including title exceptions. Responsible for the oversight, maintenance and application of the commercial loan policy. Responsible for insuring the credit union is within policy for all Board of Director approved loan level concentration limits. Communicate effectively with federal and state examiners in discussing all aspects of commercial lending, credit union policy and procedures, and individual credits. Ensures all necessary documents have been received. Monitors note rate re-pricing, fixings and other pre-and post-closing tasks. Maintain files with sufficient documentation for third-party review, prepares files for timely audits. Reviews and analyzes appraisals, land surveys and environmental reports. Demonstrates compliance with all credit union regulations for assigned job function. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all credit union policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all annually required or job-specific training. Coach, mentor, or train others. Works on problems of diverse scope. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Direct the work of others and/or be assigned the responsibility for credit administration of mortgages and consumer loans. Oversee the collection of delinquent and charged-off commercial, mortgage and consumer loans. Position Qualifications Previous Experience:Performed successfully in a financial institution with at least 5+ years of relevant commercial and real estate lending experience. Education:Requires a bachelor s degree or equivalent experience. Demonstrated Abilities:Advanced analytical and problem solving skills. Advanced loan administration experience with knowledge of letters of credit, borrower based lending and multiple collateral properties. Thorough knowledge of commercial finance, law, documentation, accounting and data systems. Expertise in loan closing and administration. Ability to close commercial loans and administer complex commercial loan portfolio. Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships. Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines. Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present. Physical Requirements:Sitting or standing continuously for periods of four hours, communicating verbally, communicating in writing, faculty of seeing and hearing and operating a keyboard. Lifting and carrying usually not to exceed 20 pounds. Mental Requirements:Interpersonal interactions, problem solving, analyzing/evaluating, decision making, discretion/confidentiality, math skills, teamwork, read/write/speak English, creativity and task handling. Working Conditions:Work is performed in an office environment but also requires mobility within the office.
