What You Will Do: As the Insurance Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for new business placement and inforce support. This will include operations, sales tracking, case management, underwriting coordination, and policy issue oversight as well as inforce servicing, fund administration, problem resolution, training, and communications. You will coordinate data flow and process workflow for all parties (the Carrier, MFH, Member Firms, and McCamish Systems) from initial inquiry through placement of a new policy. Throughout this process you will perform quality assurance checks, oversight of McCamish, analyses, and reporting. In addition, you will support inforce business operations for live VUL and PPVA policies. This will include the coordination of data flow and process workflows, managing and improving underwriting and administrative procedures for Magnastar, supporting Member Firms, and developing Magnastar promotional and training material. Other responsibilities will include supporting business unit projects including enhancing measures for tracking Magnastar support requests, reviewing processes and suggesting improvements, and managing special projects such as the addition of product features. What You Bring to M: Bachelor s degree in business, finance, or related field Minimum of four years of directly-related, progressively-responsible work experience Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation preferred Knowledge of estate and business planning techniques, life insurance taxation, life insurance, fund administration, and annuity product knowledge is preferred Well-developed computer skills including strong proficiencies in MS Word, Excel, and Access Advanced data analysis knowledge with an emphasis on mathematical Excel functions and database queries and extracts Experience with fundamental database concepts including analyzing, manipulating, and querying relational database systems Ability to translate complex technical information to a non-technical audience Ability to work effectively, both independently as well as a member of a team Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Member Firms, Carriers, state and federal regulators and M Team members Excellent written and verbal communication skills Visual acuity for proofreading and document preparation Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines through prioritization demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to provide excellent customer service to MFH s Member Firms, Carriers and internal team members Knowledge of investment and securities regulations preferred
