The Technical Services Assistant will provide technical support to the Commercial Insurance department. Responsible for the new and renewal process and will assist the unit in other technical and clerical duties as assigned.
Duties:
Assists in the renewal process by processing renewal certificates, obtain driver information and MVR reports when applicable and prepare auto ID cards and invoices.
File certificates of insurance in filing cabinets and folders.
Coordinate the preparation and distribution of auto identification cards.
Data entry into system and verifies that the data is accurate, complete and conforms to established procedures.
Makes positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strives to improve service to the customer.
Communicates in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and/or equivalent education or work experience.
General understanding of commercial property/casualty coverages is preferred but not required.
Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Typing speed of 50 wpm or higher.
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines.
Ability to communicate professionally with associates, external clients and insurance carriers.
Strong customer service skills required.
Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.
