Job Purpose:

 

To provide administrative assistance and support to the Claims Department.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Data entry and reporting of new losses to TPAs and carriers.
  • Handles routine inquiries from TPAs concerning coverage and policies.
  • Manages, organizes and updates data using database applications.
  • Prepares ad-hoc reports as requested by the Chief Underwriting Officer, Claims Director and Retail Claims Manager.
  • Prepares claim summary reports for internal underwriting team and responds to status request from retail brokerage partners.
  • Provides limited oversight of TPAs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – particularly Excel and Access.
  • College degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years claims or related insurance experience. Workers Compensation claims experience is a plus.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Pennsylvania Property & Casualty Producers license or the ability to pass licensing exam within first 6 months of employment.
