CopperPoint Insurance Companies is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment support, New Employee Orientation as well as managing the Employee Recognition Program. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager and be responsible as well as have access to confidential and time sensitive information and materials. 

  Responsibilities:

  • Handle recruitment efforts for junior open positions including working with hiring managers to update job descriptions, screening of resumes and conducting first round interviews. Presenting the most qualified candidates to the hiring manager to be interviewed. Scheduling second round interviews with hiring managers and then working with hiring manager to select the most qualified candidate for the position. Presenting job offer to the candidate that was selected by the hiring manager.
  • Prepare and post electronic job descriptions and job openings. May assist with the searches including posting to external job boards, social media and local organizations, and local colleges/universities. Assist leaders and employees with the employment processes.
  • Processing of background /drug screens, employment verifications, reference checks, new hire offers, employee referral program and associated processes and forms. Timely and accurate processing of new hire information.
  • Maintain electronic applicant and employment records/logs for the entire recruiting cycle including applications, screens, interviews and selection process.
  • Prepares new hire offer letters and associated correspondence.
  • Responsible for the administration of the employee referral program and associated payments/awards.
  • Respond to applicant, candidate and external recruitment and temporary agencies. Maintain relationships with temporary staffing agencies.
  • Accountable for new hire orientation. Maintains and handles communication to stakeholders, schedules, associated information and forms. Publishes and communicates schedules, coordinates the process and ensures up to date information and materials. Timely and accurate completion/processing of new hire paperwork and requirements.
  • Responsible for coordination of 60 day on-boarding program. Work with employees and leaders in the completion of the processes. Compiles reports for review by HR Manager, VP HR and organization leaders.
  • Responsible for the administration of Employee Recognition Program.
  • Takes the lead with the recognition platform which includes the managing of approvals for awards, data upload to websites, processing of the awards and running of reports.
  • Works with vendors to order awards, food and equipment for the events.
  • Works with payroll for conversion of employee recognition program points to prizes.
  • Performs administrative duties for the accurate and timely processing of employment and benefit changes. This may include the completion and processing of employment, benefit and compensation changes. Responsible for employee record accuracy, processing of new hire, promotion, salary adjustments, terminations, leave actions. Completion of confirmation letters.
  • Perform timely and accurate audit of payroll records on a bi-weekly basis.

      Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S. or B.A.) in business administration, human resources, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, and 3 to 5 years related experience in human resources, required
  • SHRM-CP or PHR desired
  • Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, employees and contracted vendors.
  • Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain and work with sensitive and confidential information and circumstances.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Intermediate-senior level communication skills both verbally and in written form to write business reports & proposals and/or formal presentations to Managers and/or the Executive Staff.
