COMMERCIAL INSURANCE UNDERWRITER

Our client is rated A+ by A.M. Best and is a Regional P&C Commercial Lines Company that is very employee oriented as well as close to their clients. Due to profitable growth and agency expansion is seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their cutting edge organization in their New York Underwriting Team. This position has direct impact on new market expansion as well as customer service for existing clients throughout the state of New York. Other responsibilities include evaluating, selecting and pricing Middle Market to Large Commercial Accounts.

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of positive progression in commercial multi-line underwriting. Other qualities include being creative, high energy, analytical, organized and detailed oriented, with excellent communication skills. Knowledge or experience working with the eastern New York marketplace is a plus. Candidates with a bachelor's degree as well as a professional designation, such as a CPCU is highly desirable.
