Job Description:
Our client is an independent agency with significant regional market share. They seek an experienced employee benefits agent to grow the agency's group division. You're responsible for leading revenue generation by generating prospects, offering competitive proposals, and closing new business. You will also identify untapped internal resources for referral business from the agency's commercial division. All the while you'll remain heavily involved with the client's post sale as a consultant for ongoing benefits implementation, pricing and coverage options as the account grows, and working through their business networks to become more engrained in the regional community. This is an opportunity for a successful employee benefits professional with an insurance company or TPA to make the transition to a retail broker.

Employee Benefits Producer Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years experience in sales and marketing with a strong knowledge of group employee benefits including self-funded products
• Must currently be developing the south Louisiana territory with a group benefits insurer or through a TPA
• Bachelor's degree or related experience with industry accreditations or continuing education endorsements is a plus
• Ability to self-generate new business relationships
• Desire to increase agency revenues through outside networking or by identifying coverage gaps with existing relationships
• Louisiana Life & Health license
