We have an immediate opening for an Account Manager (Commercial Lines) – Select Division with the Global Energy Practice in Boston, MA. The position will report into the practice’s service hub in Boston, MA; however, applicants who live outside Boston but are able to work remotely will be considered as well. The Account Manager – Select Division will lead the development and management of a targeted group of energy accounts within its select division by maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers, and demonstrating a solid understanding of client risk exposures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of the “select account program” within the global energy      practice for a targeted group of small accounts with long term growth potential.
• Manage daily transactions for an assigned book of select business (i.e. endorsement/certificate requests, coverage analysis, open items, etc.).
• Respond to client requests/questions within a timely manner.
• Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality of information processed.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, and/or at least 3 years of related insurance experience.

• Must have or be able to obtain the appropriate state brokers licenses.
• Excellent customer service skills, with ability to develop sound relationships with clients, underwriters, and other vendors.
• Knowledge and understanding of insurance legislation, rules, laws and other regulations
• Ability to use initiative and good judgment in accomplishing tasks with minimal errors/Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Establish and maintain effective work relationships and to function in a team environment.
• Ability to lead client and/or market discussions.
• Good listening skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
