ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY SERVICES GROUP

 

SUMMARY OF AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

Assist the National Property Director with general management of the Property Services Group. PSG includes the Property Services Management Unit (PSM), Large Loss Unit (LLU), Catastrophe Division (CAT), International Property, Property FSM, and Property TPA.

Manages profitable rate architecture for all property proposals and agreements. Identifies client operational service compliance needs and assists in the crafting of internal Client Instructions detailing handling guidelines and invoicing procedures. Identifies prospective and active property clients for new and organic revenue growth opportunities. Supports and drives supporting sales activity of the Business Development and Marketing Managers.

 

SUMMARY

Reports to the National Property Director (or CEO in Natl Prop Director’s absence) on all operational matters. Reports to the Chairman on all business development matters.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

College bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; ten years property management and field adjusting experience required; valid driver's license and reliable transportation required; demonstrated exceptional presentation, oral and written communication skills; problem analysis required; superior planning and organizational skills required. Efficient in identifying opportunities to improve client relationships and accounts through consultative account planning and selling. Proven leadership skills in working with C-suite management. Must have people skills and favorable (likeable) personality to effectively handle marketing and business development duties.

 

LOCATION EQUIPMENT

Inside and outside environment. Must be able to drive an automobile and travel by airplane when necessary.

 

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL REQUIRED

Up to 30%

 

CONTACT WITH OTHERS

Inside contact with all personnel throughout the company, including but not limited to Senior Management, all Business Development and Marketing team members, Regional, District, Area, and Branch Managers, adjusters, and administrative staff. Outside contact with clients, policyholders, claimants, tradespersons, vendors, attorneys, and CIA employment prospects/candidates.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in developing and implementing a marketing plan driving annual revenue sales.
  • Identify and successfully sell organic and prospective client opportunities that drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing team coordinating efficient and effective account management and sales activity that create and or strengthen client relationships.
  • Routinely attend industry-related conventions, outings and events.
  • Will serve as a member of the Business Development Team as directed by the Chairman.
  • Performance review and salary administration of all PSG employees as authorized by the National Property Director/ Senior VP.   
  • Open and close file reviews to ensure quality control and identify training needs.
  • Handling of client complaints and general troubleshooting on the national property level.
  • Ongoing expense management and control based on analysis of PSG profit and loss statements and company guidelines        .
  • Lend technical support to the field offices and within PSG as necessary.
  • Conduct audits as necessary on all offices and units within the PSG.
  • Timely completion of routine Property Services Group reports as requested by the National Property Director/ Senior VP.
  • Review and approval of invoicing processes in PSG units.
  • Visible participation in local, state and national claims organizations as required.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the National Property Director or Chairman.
  • Make decision on hiring of PSG staff and assist in hiring process as directed or authorized by the National Property Director/Senior VP.
  • Maintain a Positive “can-do” attitude toward colleagues and clients and positively execute company agenda.

 

 

TRAINING

 

Responsible for training all PSG staff.
