As a member of Florida Peninsula’s claims department, the Litigation Specialist/Examiner will handle a large caseload of first party suits with the majority in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami/Dade counties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervision and direction of assigned defense counsel
  • Proactive file handling and diary management on assigned files
  • Attendance at mediations and trials
  • Accurate and timely reserve evaluation 
  • Electronic file handling, documentation and reporting on assigned caseload

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years handling first party litigation claims
  • Insurance carrier experience, preferably Florida homeowner’s claims experience
  • Must have valid 620 insurance adjuster license and must be current on CE
  • College degree preferred; CPCU, AIC SCLA, a plus
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail
  • Must have ability to adapt to shifting priorities, effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Must have excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
