As a member of Florida Peninsula’s claims department, the Litigation Specialist/Examiner will handle a large caseload of first party suits with the majority in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami/Dade counties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervision and direction of assigned defense counsel
- Proactive file handling and diary management on assigned files
- Attendance at mediations and trials
- Accurate and timely reserve evaluation
- Electronic file handling, documentation and reporting on assigned caseload
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years handling first party litigation claims
- Insurance carrier experience, preferably Florida homeowner’s claims experience
- Must have valid 620 insurance adjuster license and must be current on CE
- College degree preferred; CPCU, AIC SCLA, a plus
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a high level of attention to detail
- Must have ability to adapt to shifting priorities, effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Must have excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
