Sales & Program Development Executive

Department: Sales

Date of Opening:  Immediate

Position Description:  

As part of the executive management team, this individual will develop a long-term strategic sales plan to drive growth in the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiate leads with resorts and insurance brokers, as well as assist with qualifying and closing new business opportunities
  • Prepare and present business development activity to the Board of Directors
  • Create strategies for strengthening existing resort and broker relationships
  • Analyze marketplace competition to aid in the development of new products and coverages
  • Represent RHA at key external marketing and membership events
  • Work closely and cohesively with internal and external underwriting teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand our members’ business and risk management needs
  • Skilled at listening and working with members and prospects as well as their retail brokers and our carriers 
  • Comfortable working with a team of professionals dedicated to providing the best product available to the hospitality industry


Requirements:  

  • 10+ years brokerage/agency experience in selling, marketing, and servicing major accounts (may be combined with experience as an underwriter for a carrier managing a property and/or casualty book of business) 
  • Ability to identify and articulate insightful coverage solutions to our members
  • Must currently hold or obtain a valid P&C license, and either achieved or working toward appropriate insurance designations: CIC, CPCU, ARM, CRM   
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or equivalent experience
  • Hospitality insurance industry experience a plus but not a requirement
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Ability to travel in excess of 25%


Salary:  

Salary commensurate with experience, with an income potential of $150,000+. This position offers a competitive compensation package including a 401(k) plan, health care, generous vacation and eligibility in the association’s incentive plan.
