Primary Purpose
To provide timely and quality risk management services to clients and to communicate pertinent information to the Underwriting and Marketing functions to assist in writing and retaining profitable business.
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluate risk exposures and provide survey information needed to make acceptability and pricing decisions on property and casualty prospects and clients
- Consult and advise clients to eliminate or minimize risk as a result of on site risk assessments
- Communicate with marketing and underwriting functions verbally and through written reports
- Develop, apply and maintain working knowledge of Company risk management technical policies and procedures and demonstrate understanding of the property/casualty insurance business
- Manage workload in assigned territory
Position Requirements
- A four-year degree in a business-related field is required
- A background in occupational or industrial safety, risk management, fire prevention or safety insurance experience is preferred
- Possessing or currently pursuing the Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Loss Control Specialist (CLCS), or another Risk Management Related Designation is preferred
- Strong computer, time management and communication skills
- Overnight travel up to 6 nights per month
- An acceptable driving record is required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
